Based in New York City’s Diamond District, renowned gemmological laboratory Gemological Science International (GSI), has appointed new senior executives for strengthening its operations in India. Currently, the lab has offices in Mumbai. The two new senior executives appointed with immediate effect include Rahul R. Singh and Sanjay Ingole. %% Mr. Singh will be responsible for aspects of strategic planning, retail operations, business development, marketing, and supply chain management. He holds a professional record of serving such roles, including as head operations at SEPIA, a division of Texport Syndicate, for the past three years. Mr. Ingole hs been appointed as GSI India sales in charge (a newly appointed role). He carries eight years of experience in the jewellery industry including one as area sales manager for Brightest Circle Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., a division of Gitanjali, looking into merchandising and design, development of marketing strategies, and exhibitions and promotional activities. %% Mark Gershburg, CEO of Gemological Science International, said, “The Indian economies overall and the Indian jewelry industry in particular are tremendously resilient and growing quickly.” He further added that, “We at GSI have been actively involved in the Indian diamond industry and its development.
