%% The Chairman of the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery, Mumbai, Mr. Vasant Mehta, Vice-Chairman of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Mr. Sanjay Kothari, Members of the Board of Directors of IIGJ, Members of the Advisory Board of IIGJ, jewellery industrialists and media persons were also present at the occssion. %% This year’s jewellery collection represented mechanical innovations in jewellery created on a variety of themes targeting the global markets. The entire project was executed under the able guidance of the Project-in-Chief Mr. Surendra Karandikar, and the faculty of the Institute. %%

%% During the inauguration function, the Chief Guest Ms. Varuna D Jani released a special CD of the jewellery designs exhibited at the show. She critically scrutinized exhibits of each of the students and guided them for their future endeavors in jewellery creations. In her address she inspired students through her personal example and urged them to work diligently and arduously in whatever assignments they undertake. %%

%% Mr. Vasant Mehta, Chairman of IIGJ, advised the students to keep on learning new techniques even after passing out from this Institute, and insisted on sincerity and honesty to be successful in their future career. %%
