In an administration committee meeting held today in Delhi, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council was presented with its new chairman and vice-chairman for the bi-annual term 2012-2014. While Vipul Shah, CEO & MD, Asian Star was elected as the chairman; Pankaj Parikh the former chairman of eastern region of GJEPC was the chosen one for the position of vice-chairman of GJEPC. %% The new committee electing the chairman and vice-chairman was chosen on 27th September 2012 at Grand Hyatt. The chosen candidate for Diamond Reserved category was Ajesh N Mehta from Navinchandra Exports Pvt Ltd. The winners in Diamond Panel category were Saunak J Parikh,M/s. Mahendra Brothers Exports Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai and Nirav J Bhansali of M/s. Prism Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai . The winner of the Gold Jewellery Panel of CoA of GJEPC for the year 2012-14 was Colin P. Shah M/S. Kama Schachter Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. %% These office bearers decided at the Committee of Administration meeting today and chose Vipul Shah and Pankaj Parikh as the chairman and vice-chairman of GJEPC, respectively. %% Commenting on the outcome of the elections of the committee on 27th September, the former chairman Rajiv Jain had said, “It is a pleasure to see the selection of four budding young people onto the panel governing the functioning of the GJEPC Committee. It is a good sign for the future of the council and the industry." %%
