India seeks diamonds, precious stones from Tanzania

Offers to set up gem cutting and polishing projects

AN exhibition of jewelry created by graduates of the Omanit jewelry design school opened last week at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in the Israel Diamond Exchange complex in Ramat Gan. The exhibition includes works by graduates of the past five years of the school, which belongs to the Naamat network.%%At the opening ceremony, museum Chairman Shmuel Schnitzer spoke about the importance of the connection between the diamond and jewelry industries.%%According to reports this is the last exhibition that will take place in the museum in its present state. From the beginning of next year the museum will be closed in order to undergo a total redesign.
