Jewellers strike enters 41st day; jewellers have approximately lost Rs. 40,000 crore so far

On 17th July 2104 Gemological Science International (GSI) launched Joy Box campaign, a social initiative for Each One Each One (EOTO), ‘Educate a Child, Discover a Personality’ - a charitable foundation aimed for underprivileged children in Mumbai. The initiative is a first of its kind and from the start it gained great support and generous donations from the gems and jewelry industry. %% GSI is delighted to make first delivery of the school supplies, children cloths and other. It includes contributions from Hari Krishna Diamonds, Moksh Jewellers, Fine Creations, Phalak Impex, Steck Beck, Fashion Exim and others. GSI is extremely proud of its employees that came forward and generously donated to the cause. %% Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI, expressed, “It gives me an immense pleasure to be a part of this campaigninitiatied by GSI staff. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the contributors from gems and jewellery industry and to GSI employees specifically for playing a key role in this endeavor.” %% Hema Raney, CEO, Each One Teach One, on receiving the First ‘Joy Box’ said, “The children were overjoyed to see the amount of items contributed which consisted of clothes, umbrellas, stationary items and so on. The happiness in their heart was reflected on their faces, through a Smile.
