Jewelers of America (JA) has designed unique online learning modules for retailers and sales professionals to spruce up their marketing techniques. The courses are available on its J-Biz Education Center.%%The courses deal with skills to handle technical queries when selling. "That's why our first online releases are focused on usable sales skills and knowledge that associates can take directly to the customer," said JA Director of Education David Peters. The courses have been deliberately designed as convenient, affordable and worthwhile, and they come in a self-study format.%%"Counter Intelligence," is the title of one course which informs on professionalism, legal compliance, and ways to communicate technical details of stones. The second course - "Communicating Color," is based on theories of gems and techniques to close more colored-stone sales. The third online course offered, "Treatment Talk: Discussing Gemstone Enhancements," covers the maintenance knwoledge on stones.
