Tanishq reports increase in sales

Sale of GoldPlus brand increases beyond Rs.100 crore ($25.2 mn)

ISRAELI exports of diamond and gemstone studded jewellery grew by 2.6 per cent to $390 million in 2006, according to the Jewelry Trade Division director, Sigal Shidlovsky, who noted that exports were partly affected by the Lebanon war.%%The exports included gold jewellery (80 per cent, 34 per cent of which was set with diamonds and coloured gemstones), fashion jewellery (12.5 per cent) and silver jewellery (7.5 per cent). Last year, diamond and coloured gemstone studded gold jewellery exports increased by 4 per cent to $131 million.%%The US, Israel’s main export destination, accounted for 56 per cent of diamond studded gold jewellery exports, 68 per cent of fashion jewellery exports and 77 per cent of gold jewellery exports.
