Celebrity rappers and hip-hoppers like P. Diddy and Lil Jon are paying big money to have removable diamond and platinum “grills” installed in their mouths, according to the New York Daily News.

Texas’s Paul Wall got a $29,000 set of the jeweled braces and liked them so much he went into partnership with a jeweler who makes them.

New York City-based jeweler Chris Aire has made the grills for celebrities Nelly and Baby. Dentists like New York-based Dr. Parviz Edalat, say that one shouldn’t sleep with the grills in, but Aire insists they are safe to eat with.
