Alrosa may bid for stake in Polyus

The world record of the world’s largest diamond held by the 3,106.75-carat Cullinan, has been ousted as a diamond twice its size was found in South Africa’s North West Province. The diamond has been transferred to a vault in Johannesburg under strict security. The diamond was discovered by a diamond company which has not revealed its identity so far.
