PPR – the French luxury good’s company has recorded a profit of 11.4% in its revenues for first half of 2006, with revenue being $12.67 billion (€9.2 billion), as compared to the figures of the same period last year. The Q2 of 2007, indicated a revenue increase of 18.1% compared to Q2 of 2006, to $6.58 billion (€4.8 billion).
The company’s sales outside France contributed 61% of the total half yearly revenues, and 57% of the second quarter revenues. Gucci, a subsidiary of PPR added $1.14 billion (€836.5 million) to the revenues, a high of 7.7% comparable to the second quarter of 2006. It earned double –digit growth in almost every major world market with North America (+14%), Europe (+12%), Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan) (+22%) and Japan (+12%).
Also, the half yearly 2007 sales, for Gucci Group, rose 9.2% to $2.43 billion (€1.773 billion) on a year-on-year basis.
