Japan's gem and jewellery imports down in November 2008

Imports from India reduced by 49.4%

Amazon.com has launched an online store selling jewellery and watches, in United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. The dot com recorded an increase of 260% in diamond jewellery sales, during the second quarter of 2007.
Other categories like women’s watches including branded makes like Cartier, Omega, Tag Heuer and more, increased 100% in sales, for the same quarter.According to Peter Lai, Director of Amazon.com Jewelry & Watches, "We are thrilled to be able to offer our international customers the opportunity to purchase jewelry and watches online."
