At the INHORGENTA 2025 trade show, a panel titled “The Rising Indian Jewellery Influence” explored India’s growing impact on global jewellery. Moderated by Laurent Cartier of SSEF, the discussion featured UK jewellery designer Alice Cicolini and brand architect Radhika Somaia.

Cicolini praised India’s master artisans, highlighting techniques like filigree, enamelling, and gem-cutting. She noted India’s evolution into a global jewellery manufacturing powerhouse, balancing handmade craftsmanship with high-quality mass production. Somaia discussed shifting consumer preferences, with younger buyers seeking traditional yet versatile designs.

The panel emphasised India’s role in talismanic jewellery trends, growing global recognition, and the need for storytelling in branding. Cicolini stressed collaboration with artisans and transparent recognition of their work. As Indian jewellery continues to blend heritage with modernity, its global influence is undeniable. “It’s India’s time,” Cicolini concluded.
