Kalyan Jewellers has expanded its international operations with the opening of a new showroom on Belgrave Road in Leicester, widely recognised as the city’s Golden Mile and a major hub for jewellery and South Asian retail. The store was inaugurated on December 2 2025 by Pramod Kumar Agarwal of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), and Rajesh Kalyanaraman of Kalyan Jewellers.

The launch marks the company’s entry into the United Kingdom, adding to its existing presence in the Middle East and the United States. The Leicester showroom is one of six overseas stores planned as part of the 90 new locations the company aims to open this year.

The store features a selection of Kalyan Jewellers’ house brands, including Muhurat, Mudhra, Nimah, Antara, Rang and Lila. The product offering spans wedding jewellery, handcrafted antique pieces, temple jewellery, diamonds and coloured stones.

Speaking about the launch, Rajesh Kalyanaraman said, “With the inauguration of our showroom on Leicester’s Golden Mile, we aim to create a holistic shopping destination that meaningfully serves the needs of our customers, especially the vibrant Indian diaspora in the UK. The entry into the UK aligns with Kalyan Jewellers’ broader strategy to strengthen its footprint in key diaspora-driven regions and enhance access to its branded jewellery portfolio across global markets.
