Kanakratna Exim Private Limited has announced the launch of a new 14KT precious gold jewellery category, marking a strategic addition to its manufacturing and supply portfolio. The launch reflects growing trade interest in lower-karat gold jewellery that balances affordability, durability and contemporary design requirements.

The newly introduced 14KT gold jewellery range is manufactured using gold with a purity of 58.5 percent, blended with alloys to enhance structural strength and wearability. According to the company, the composition remains consistent throughout each piece, aligning with established industry standards for 14KT jewellery.

The category has been developed to address demand for jewellery suitable for regular and daily wear, where higher durability and scratch resistance are key considerations. The alloy composition of 14KT gold makes it more resilient compared to higher-karat gold, positioning it for everyday-use segments including chains, stiff chains, necklaces and bracelets.

From a pricing perspective, 14KT jewellery offers a lower entry point compared to 18KT and 22KT categories, allowing retailers to cater to cost-conscious consumers without moving away from precious gold products. The category also supports a wider design range, with availability across yellow, white and rose gold tones, enabling manufacturers and retailers to introduce contemporary and lightweight formats.

Kanakratna Exim has confirmed that all 14KT jewellery will carry standard hallmarking, identified by the “14K” or “585” stamp. This hallmark certifies the gold content and supports transparency, authentication and resale value within the trade ecosystem.

The company positions the new category for professionals seeking practical jewellery, minimal-design buyers preferring subtler gold tones, and consumers looking for a balance between aesthetics, durability and value.

With this launch, Kanakratna Exim aims to strengthen its presence in the lightweight gold jewellery segment, responding to shifting consumption patterns and evolving retailer requirements in domestic and export markets.
