Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its retail presence in Goa with the opening of a 7,839 sq. ft. showroom on St. Joaquim Road, Borda, Margao. The new store is the retailer’s second-biggest showroom in Goa and brings its larger jewellery portfolio to the region.

Spread across a ground-plus-two-floor format, the showroom offers jewellery across gold, diamonds, polki, uncut diamonds and precious gemstones. It also houses collections from the company’s in-house brands, including Mine for diamond jewellery, Era for uncut diamond jewellery, Divine for heritage-inspired designs, Ethnix for handcrafted designer jewellery, Precia for precious gemstones and Viraaz for polki jewellery.

The showroom was inaugurated by Digambar Kamat, Minister for Public Works Department, Government of Goa, in the presence of Damu Naik, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Filsar Babu, Regional Head (Karnataka & Goa), Malabar Gold & Diamonds, along with senior company officials and staff, attended the inauguration.

M P Ahammad, Chairman, Malabar Group, said the new showroom would bring the company closer to customers in the market while allowing it to respond to changing preferences.

The Margao opening adds to Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ retail network, which comprises more than 450 showrooms across 14 countries. The company was established in 1993 as the flagship company of Malabar Group.
