Senco Gold Ltd has signed agreements to acquire a 68% stake in August Jewellery Pvt Ltd, which operates the Melorra jewellery brand, for Rs. 68 crore. The transaction is expected to be completed by February 2027, subject to fulfilment of specified conditions.

The investment will be made in multiple tranches through the issuance of fresh equity shares. The funds will support August Jewellery’s growth and expansion and help discharge its existing liabilities. Following the acquisition, Senco Gold and its promoter group entity will collectively hold 79% of August Jewellery, which will become a subsidiary of Senco Gold.

The acquisition forms part of Senco Gold’s digital and omnichannel strategy, with a focus on reaching younger consumers. Melorra’s design and e-commerce capabilities are expected to complement Senco Gold’s existing operations and support operational efficiencies and customer experience across platforms.

August Jewellery operates in the gold, silver and precious-stone jewellery segment, with Melorra focusing on lightweight, fast-fashion jewellery. The company operates 20 stores across India and uses technology to develop and launch new designs every week.

August Jewellery reported a turnover of Rs. 97.93 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, compared with Rs. 33.25 crore in FY2024-25 and Rs. 173.63 crore in FY2023-24.
