The Antwerp World Diamond Centre is organising a symposium entitled, ‘Confidence in Challenging Times’, in an initiative to consolidate industry views on the ongoing economic crisis and its effects on the diamond industry. %% The AWDC is hosting the symposium on November 17, 2008 and is inviting the global gem and jewellery industry to participate. The symposium will be addressed by stakeholders of the most important mining companies, banks, key industry players, diamond company representatives, retailers and marketing experts. %% “It is important that Antwerp takes the leadership in organising an open forum to discuss the current developments on the international diamond scene. As world diamond centre, Antwerp aims to restore confidence in the diamond trade”, states Philip Claes, spokesman of AWDC. The Antwerp Diamond Symposium ‘Confidence in Challenging Times’ will be held at the Antwerp Province House.
