PC Jeweller unveils the 'Princess Grace' necklace

According to media reports, Su-Raj Diamonds and Jewellery, reported an 86 percent fall in its net profits which amounted to $509,985 in the third fiscal quarter. The drastic fall in profits was mainly due to a 5 percent increase in expenses which amounted to $117.93 million. Group revenues increased by 2.8 percent to $120.86 million, with the help of 4.5 percent increase in diamond revenue amounting to $36.56 million, 2 percent increase in jewellery revenue valuing at $84.26 million, and 1.6 percent increase in revenue from other business units which amounted to $26,626. %% The diamond unit of the company recorded profits before taxes and interest of $753,712, decreasing by 45 percent from the same quarter last year. The jewellery business had a fall of 44 percent in pre-tax and interest profits amounting to $2.15 million. %% The accounts for the first nine months of the fiscal year, saw net profits falling by 35 percent to $5.55 million, although the company enjoyed a 22 percent increase in its revenues amounting to $348.53 million. Expenses increased higher by 23.6 percent to $339.21 million in the said period.
