World Gold Council (WGC) welcomed Anan Fakhreddin to handle the portfolio of Managing Director (MD) of its Middle East and Turkey operations. He has begun his tenure from March 1, 2009. The Council is confident that this new appointment will help it face the challenging market conditions and bring growth in the growing gold market of the Middle East. %% Fakhreddin has been the head of the Diamond Trading Corporation (DTC - De Beers) in the United Arab Emirates for eight years. The new MD is hopeful of create opportunities of success in his tenure at the WGC.
