Rupee breaches 65 against USD

The Indian rupee breached 65 per dollar mark on the back of bank's heavy dollar demand and poor market sentiments.

Cartier is hosting a jewellery exhibition entitled “Kings of Jewelers, Jewelers to Kings” in the Forbidden City of Beijing, displaying some never before seen jewels, reports say. The venue of The Forbidden City was selected for its regal lineage of being home to emperors of China, and as such symbolised an association between European royal families and Cartier. %% There is a selection of 350 jewels made during the time of 1847 until 1970s. Luxury watches and accessories will also be exhibited in line with the fine jewellery. Along with the luxury items, the company has arranged to display a showcasing of its history in the business, rare sketches of jewellery design and some historic documents of jewellery made for royal families. %% The exhibition is slated between September 5-22, 2009. Reports suggest that Cartier is planning on concentrating on expanding its retail venture in China and doubling the number of its stores from the present 32.
