Zaveri& Co. unveils its Jadau Collection

Citing the rise in demand for diamond jewellery and awareness about certification, in Chennai, a prime jewellery market of Southern India, International Gemological Institute (IGI) opened a state-of-the art facility in Chennai at Prashanth Real Gold Tower, T. Nagar. Prior to this, IGI had opened a ‘Satellite laboratory’ in Thrissur and mobile labs in the south. It also hosted a ‘Jewelers Meet’ for retailers and jewellers with an objective to elucidate the current market trends, need and importance of certification so as to achieve accuracy, consistency and continued quality assurance, grading of mounted jewellery, role of jeweller in building consumer confidence. %% The event hosted a panel discussion on ‘Mounted Jewelry Grading – The need of consistency, accuracy & quality control’, with participating panelists as - Mr. Babu Emmanuel, President, Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchant's Association and Mr. Tehmasp Printer, Managing Director, IGI India. Mr. Ramit Kapur, General Manager, IGI India conducted a workshop - ‘The Art of Grading Mounted Jewellery’, providing insights on grading the 4C’s of mounted jewelkery, treatments and identification of synthetics. IGI announced a "Polished diamond Grading & Assortment course" starting from 9th august to 19th August. %% IGI is the world’s largest independent laboratory for testing and grading gemstones and fine jewellery and India’s only ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited laboratory.
