GJF concerned over imposition of compulsory PAN Card application on jewellery sales over Rs. 1 lakh

GJF has requested government to remove Pan Card requirement in jewellery sector and reduce Import Duties on gold, silver and jewellery

Diamond manufacturing company, Blue Star Diamonds has integrated its product inventory with modern media – including the internet and mobile phone application. It has launched a new website and online bidding format, along with new mobile phone applications to enable its customers gain ‘an easy and secure platform’ to access its diamond inventory. %% The newly launched website - www.bluestardiamonds.com has been designed with a ‘bid-a-diamond module’ for a customer to bid for the company’s diamond inventory. Another feature allows customization of diamonds or a special cut. The company’s mobile phone applications help customers search and buy diamonds through the Blackberry and IPhone. %% Blue Star is headquartered in Mumbai. Its diamonds are certified by GIA, HRD and IGI.
