$${{The Gemmological Institute of India}} (GII) has inaugurated a laboratory and take–in window for the grading of loose diamonds and diamond-set jewellery at the {{Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery}} (IIGJ) in Mumbai.%% The new laboratory has been set up to provide service to the jewellery retailers of the Northern suburbs in Mumbai. Located near the SEEPZ export zone, the IIGJ provides the ideal geographic location to fulfil this demand.%% The novel service will cover only the diamonds that are set in a piece of jewellery. The dimension of Color and Clarity will be estimated in a band rather than as a specific dimension. Both GII and IIGJ are the initiatives of the {{Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council}} (GJEPC).%%
