Over 350 jewellers will exhibit in 12,000 square metres of exhibition space

SOUTH African mining companies Anglo Platinum, Anglo Coal and Palabora Mining Company were declared winners of the Nedbank Capital Green Mining Awards. The miners were rewarded for their contributions towards responsible mining in southern Africa according to reports.%%Anglo Platinum, winner in the sustainability category, was acknowledged for its innovative approach to reducing sulphur emissions to well below the legal limit and, in doing so, setting a new standard for the platinum industry. Anglo Coal won in the environmental category for its Isibonelo Wetlands project, which rehabilitated wetlands around its mines. And Palabora was recognized for its significant contribution towards the social and economic upliftment of neighboring mining communities.%%No award was granted in the limited resource category as nominations did not satisfy all of the award criteria
