Based on thorough research Independent Jury and a Panel of Professionals have chosen Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (Andheri E) Mumbai – For National Education Leadership Awards. IIGJ is an infrastructure Project of Government under ASIDE SCHEME-A Non-Profit making organization committed to provide Professionals to support Gems & Jewellery thereby boosting exports to take the Gem & jewellery to the next level of growth. Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery is affiliated to National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India & Gem & Jewellery Sector Skill Council of India & DVET Maharashtra.%% The Jury decided to honour ‘THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF GEMS & JEWELLERY –MUMBAI (ANDHERI E) with the National Education Leadership Award. IIGJ received this award on 13th February 2014 at Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai, presented by Mr. Shukla-Dy.Editor of Lokmat Newspaper received by Colonel. Sushil Kumar Arora (Retd), Head of the Institute of IIGJ Mumbai, on behalf of IIGJ Chairman-Shri. Vasant Mehta and Board of Directors.%% Academic Council carried out the review and Executive Council of Jury evaluated and final selection was based on Point 1,2,3 & 4 (Overall Grade Point Average Scale) Based on Point system, Institutions were selected at National Level doing yomen service to education.%% These awards were presented on All India basis to Prominent Institutes such as Jamnalal Bajaj, Xaviers College, Banaras Hindu University etc and Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (Andheri E) in various categories such as Education, Television, Plantation etc to encourage education at National Level.%% Recognition of IIGJ with “Education Leadership Award” in its first term award selection is true recognition of Gems & Jewellery Industry, which has grown in leaps and bounds, since its inception. IIGJ has significantly contributed in providing 5400 students including 140 students of Three Year Diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacture Technology to Industry.%% We at IIGJ feel proud for the honour conferred on IIGJ.
