THE second JCK show opened at Pier 94 in New York, it will run from October 9 to October 11, 2005. A total of 225 companies are participating in the show, out of which 26 are from Israel. They are catering for loose diamonds and gemstones at this boutique show. The opening day saw relatively slow buyer traffic –due to bad weather and a subway terror scare. Dave Bonaparte, VP of JCK Events welcomed the crowd and introduced Simcha Lustig, Chairman of the IDI, who brought short greetings on behalf of the Israel Diamond Institute. A lounge bar style event party was organized by the Israel Diamond Institute. Some exhibitors reported a great day of sales while others expressed satisfaction with their meetings with ongoing clients in the US.
