Sotheby’s sale of Magnificent Jewels, totaled $22,440,200 and the auction sold 78.2 percent by lot and received 78 percent by value. %% The top lot was a 74.95-carat fancy intense yellow diamond, which sold for $2,056,000. An 18.54-carat emerald was the second bestseller of the sale bringing in $1,888,000 dollars. %% Two more diamonds each sold for $1,552,000. One was a 16.98-carat emerald cut, DVVSI, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and the other was a necklace signed Reza, Paris with a 30-carat baguette collar suspending a 48.91-carat J/VS2 pear-shaped drop.
