Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers (VBJ Since 1900), has launched its latest signature line — The Florals Collection, a nature-inspired range rooted in legacy and designed for today’s women.
The collection draws inspiration from LysiMachia clethroides, a delicate Japanese bloom, reinterpreted through a refined architectural lens. It continues the design story that began with VBJ’s diamond ring, which won the prestigious Ring of the Year award at the National Jewellery Awards 2023.
Crafted in rose gold with round diamonds, Luxart enamel, and pearls, the collection balances craftsmanship with functionality. The designs feature flexible, convertible elements and culet-top diamond settings that maximise brilliance with fewer stones, creating a modern shift from ornamental to sculptural jewellery.
“The Florals Collection is built on the belief that jewellery can hold both memory and movement,” said Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ Since 1900. “This reflects our commitment to evolve while remaining anchored in meaning.”
Highlighting the design ethos, Jithendra Vummidi, Managing Partner, added: “The natural fall of the flower has been used to create silhouettes that are fluid and precise. Each piece is intended to feel personal and intentional — for women who value jewellery as an extension of identity.”
The collection spans necklaces, earrings, bangles, chains, brooches, and head ornaments, each echoing the cascading curves of the flower. Lightweight yet impactful, the pieces are designed for versatility — appealing to college-goers, professionals, and women across age groups who seek both elegance and ease.
Speaking on the creative process, Anupam Karmakar, Creative Head at VBJ Since 1900 and World Skills Expert, noted: “This collection represents a fusion of Indian heritage with modern artistry. Much like jasmine in South Indian culture, the white floral inspiration feels sacred and serene, yet reimagined for the global stage.”
Available across VBJ stores and online, The Florals Collection also offers select customisation options, enhancing the brand’s bespoke appeal.
As a fifth-generation family-run jeweller, VBJ is celebrated not only for its contemporary creations but also for its historic role in crafting the Sengol, a sacred sceptre rediscovered and installed in India’s new Parliament building — a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy.
