VBJ Since 1900 continues its iconic Jhumka Festival, presenting over 2,000 designs that blend heritage artistry and contemporary elegance, reflecting the brand’s legacy, craftsmanship, and deep cultural resonance across generations.
VBJ (Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers), since 1900, one of India’s most trusted heirloom jewellery houses, has extended its celebrated Jhumka Festival, offering patrons the opportunity to explore more than 2,000 distinctive jhumka designs. The festival highlights India’s enduring admiration for the iconic earring silhouette, across gold, silver, diamond and platinum, showcasing intricate filigree work, temple-inspired motifs and refined modern forms.
“For 125 years, VBJ has honoured India's jewellery traditions while evolving with changing times. This festival elevates the jhumka from a staple to a hero piece — crafted for movement, identity, and expression,” said Amarendran Vummidi from VBJ.
Echoing this sentiment, Jithendra Vummidi, VBJ, added, “A jhumka is more than an ornament — it holds memory, character, and emotion. With this festival, we celebrate a form that resonates across generations, offering timelessness with relevance.”
As a fifth-generation family-run brand, VBJ Since 1900 is also known as the maker of the historic Sengol (sceptre), now placed beside the Speaker’s chair in India’s new Parliament — a symbol of cultural heritage preserved and honoured. The Jhumka Festival reflects that same ethos of legacy, identity and craftsmanship.
Following a strong festive response during Golu and Diwali, the festival has been extended till mid-December. VBJ also showcased select designs at Ignition, held at ITC Grand Chola. The collection is available at VBJ stores in Anna Salai and Anna Nagar, as well as online, with select customisation options.
