Ashth unveils Udaya in March 2026, a high-jewellery collection inspired by Rani ki Vav, featuring portrait- and rose-cut diamonds with engraved gold, reflecting architectural design and craftsmanship.
Luxury jewellery brand Ashth has introduced Udaya, a high-jewellery collection inspired by the stepwell Rani ki Vav. The collection draws on the monument’s geometry, layered structure, and carved detailing.
Commissioned in the 11th century by Queen Udayamati, Rani ki Vav serves as the conceptual reference for the collection. The design approach reflects the stepwell’s descending architectural form and visual progression.
Each piece in the Udaya collection features 7–13 carat portrait-cut and rose-cut diamonds. Beneath these stones are hand-engraved gold motifs derived from architectural patterns of the stepwell. The design allows light to pass through the diamonds, revealing the engravings beneath.
The collection incorporates elements of symmetry and repetition influenced by Patola weaving. Engraved latticework, pearls, textured gold, and diamond detailing are used to build layered compositions across pieces.
Udaya is a limited-edition collection. All pieces are IGI-certified and BIS hallmarked.
“Design has always been at the heart of Ashth. With Udaya, we explored the idea of depth, inspired by the layered architecture of Rani ki Vav. By combining portrait and rose-cut diamonds with hand-engraved gold surfaces beneath, we’ve created jewellery where light becomes a medium to reveal craftsmanship. The collection reflects our approach to luxury - thoughtful, architectural, and deeply rooted in storytelling,” said Kaivan Shah of Ashth.
The collection is positioned for versatility across traditional and contemporary styling formats.
