Damas and Rotary club of Mithibai college, organised a massive rally as part of the Damas ‘Don’t drink and drive’ campaign ahead of New Year, when cases of drunk driving are on a rise.%% More than 300 students formed part of the rally, which included of 2 trucks, 1 police van and several bikes with students shouting slogan against drunken driving.%%The next stop was Carter road, which has seen a number of drunken cases and more recently the Alstair Pereira case which shook the entire nation.%%Students participated n 20 min walk to Carter road, protesting against drunk driving. From here the rally headed to Gateway of India where a detailed presentation on the hazards of drunken driving was made for the benefit of the general public.%%Mr Irrfan Munshi, Head sales, Damas, says, “The Damas ‘don’t drink drive’ campaign was initiated ahead of Christmas season with public messages, seminars and rallies. Alcohol related accidents are harmful both for the one who is driving and the victim.
