A new ad from the jewellery company for Women's Day wants society to empathise with and not celebrate the woman who has to do it all.

Tanishq's new Women's Day commercial challenges the notion of the superwoman, who is expected to have everything under control despite the pressures of juggling multiple responsibilities.

The commercial subtly showcases the brand's jewellery, but the focus is on the protagonist's story, which resonates with many women. The idea for the commercial was developed organically on set, and the production process was swift, lasting only ten days.

Tanishq's digital films, which rely on word-of-mouth, are promoted for less than Rs 10 lakh. Director Kopal Naithani explains that the jewellery is incidental to the story, and the focus is on showcasing the human story.

Tanishq is known for its progressive ads, and the company's focus is on telling women's stories rather than promoting jewellery. Tanishq, Talented, and Superfly Films work together to create these stellar works, and their success lies in their once-in-a-blue-moon relationship.

The ad encourages society to celebrate humanity over extraordinary abilities, which are often unattainable and unrealistic.
