The film interweaves personal romance into the festival’s rituals — from Shashti through Dashami — positioning a proposal at Sindoor Khela as an emotional high point.

Rather than treating Durga Puja simply as a festive backdrop, the film uses its rituals — Alpona, Pushpanjali, Dhunuchi Naach and others — to structure a narrative of burgeoning love between the lead characters. Music includes modern takes on classic Rabindra Sangeet to underscore key emotional transitions. Subtitles are provided to make the story accessible to non-Bengali audiences.

Visually, the ad uses the aesthetics of a “Bonedi Bari Pujo” (traditional aristocratic Durga Puja), warm golden tones, close-ups of expressions, and scenes of intimate moments amid the larger festival setting, creating a mix of grandeur and heartfelt intimacy.

The campaign deliberately keeps cultural rituals intact, choosing not to alter them but to highlight romantic possibilities already present in festival moments. The proposal is woven into the flow of the puja, rather than imposed as an external idea, reinforcing CaratLane’s message of love and tradition coexisting naturally.
