From striking statement necklaces to gemstone-centric ensembles, the 2025 festive collections champion individuality, vibrant colour, and personal expression, offering pieces to suit every budget and every mood, discovers Priyanka Talreja Garegrat.
Jewellery designers have been embracing a new design language this year — one that favours lightweight silhouettes, abstract forms, and a playful mix of bold colours. Moving away from traditional styles, the latest collections bring a sense of freedom and vibrancy, perfectly suited for celebrations that are as expressive as they are stylish.
Medley of craftsmanship, colours and unique gemstones
Gemstones are taking centre stage this season, with both established players and emerging brands designers experimenting with colour, cut, and combination. Kalyan Jewellers has introduced two standout collections, Huescape and Art Nouveau, each reflecting the evolving tastes of modern brides and festive shoppers. Huescape combines gold with pastel-hued gemstones, creating versatile pieces that transition seamlessly from daytime celebrations to evening events, while Art Nouveau draws inspiration from classic art movements, fusing traditional techniques with contemporary elegance for timeless wearable pieces.
Both collections emphasize versatility and elegance, with gemstones like sapphires, rubies, and emeralds adding depth and vibrancy. The pieces are designed to complement traditional attire as well as modern ensembles, offering festive jewellery that is expressive, personal, and celebratory.
Then there is Kumari Fine Jewellery, which has come out with the Abstract Collection, an eye-catching, yet affordable, range. Says Supriya Kataria, Kumari Fine Jewellery, Mumbai, “The Abstract Collection is our boldest expression for the festive season. Designed for the modern Kumari, it captures the spirit of being playful, colourful and unapologetically joyful. We have worked with vibrant enamelling, round diamonds and 14ct gold to create pieces that feel fresh and fashion-forward.
“Each design is minimal, yet striking, made for the woman who loves standing out without trying too hard. This collection reflects individuality, confidence and that zest for life which defines today’s generation.”
Statement Pieces for Every Occasion
Other brands have also introduced collections which are ideal for both festival celebrations and major wedding events, offering jewellery that balances tradition, modernity, and vibrant expression. Reva Diamonds’s festive collection is designed to elevate celebrations with high-impact, yet lightweight jewellery, combining the elegance of natural diamonds with vibrant gemstone accents. Crafted in 14ct and 18ct gold, the collection includes necklaces, earrings, rings, and bangles, each designed for comfortable wear, while making a bold festive statement. Floral motifs intertwine with geometric patterns, creating pieces that are modern, versatile, and visually captivating.
Aditya Modak, PNGS Reva Diamonds, Pune, says, “We took traditional diamond elegance and gave it a vibrant pop of colour that feels fresh and exciting. We have exquisitely combined warm rose gold and natural diamonds with stunning, eye-catching gems: picture the majestic blue sapphires, the chic, modern green emeralds, or the opulent luxurious pink stones.
“The result is more than just a piece of jewellery — it is an emotional treasure you will cherish. Every design is crafted to tell a tale of your own grandeur and contemporary refinement. When you step out to celebrate, you are not simply wearing an ornament — you are making a dramatic, stunning statement.”
Heer, the new gold and lab-grown diamond brand of GIVA, celebrates the many facets of the modern woman with its #AmiHeer campaign. Breaking away from conventional advertising, Heer embraces an influencer-first strategy, creating a narrative that resonates with women in all their roles — daughter, sister, mother, professional, dreamer. The collection reflects empowerment, strength, and grace, making jewellery a personal extension of identity, rather than just an accessory.
Resha Jain of GIVA, explains, “Just like the Goddess has multiple avatars, today’s woman embodies many roles. #AmiHeer celebrates this spirit and positions Heer not just as jewellery, but as her divine sparkle, an extension of her individuality.”
The collection and campaign combine storytelling with wearable art, offering pieces that are contemporary, yet rooted in heritage-inspired design, perfect for festive gifting or personal celebration.
Heritage Reimagined
Irasva’s Rüh collection brings a fresh perspective to festive and bridal jewellery by drawing inspiration from an ancient art form. Each piece is hand-painted, celebrating sacred motifs, such as the lotus and kadamba tree, symbols of purity, growth, and divine connection. Designed for the modern bride, the collection bridges the gap between heritage and contemporary style, offering jewellery that is both timeless and relevant.
Leshna Shah, Irasva, Mumbai, says, “With the festive and wedding season upon us, we are excited to bring forward Rüh — Irasva’s hand-painted bridal capsule inspired by the 400-year-old art form of Pichwai. Rüh is a dialogue between heritage and modernity, crafted with timeless artistry, but reimagined for today’s woman. For me, it is an ode to continuity and reinvention, perfectly aligned with the spirit of celebration this season.”
What makes the 2025 festive season truly remarkable is the seamless blend of heritage and innovation. Designers are reinterpreting classic motifs, while incorporating modern aesthetics, creating jewellery that is not only visually stunning, but also meaningful. Whether gifting a loved one or treating oneself, this season’s collections celebrate elegance, craftsmanship, and individuality, turning every piece into a keepsake.
